Goddess Church is a spiritual community devoted to the reawakening of ancient Sacred Feminine wisdom.

Anthropological evidence shows humans existed for 30,000+ years in Goddess-worshipping cultures, centered in Earth-based, animistic spirituality.

We believe the reawakening of this collective ancestral lineage is a powerful, nourishing, and necessary pathway to personal and collective liberation.

We believe that through cultivating greater reverence for The Earth, The Feminine, and The Great Mystery, we can create a more harmonious place - for all of us.

Rooted in mythology, archetypal wisdom, earth-based spirituality, and interfaith teachings, our gatherings explore the many faces of the Divine Feminine throughout history and across cultures

Access our weekly services through our membership

At Goddess Church, spiritual community is something we build together.

We offer three membership levels — starting with a free tier open to everyone.

Once you join, you'll get access to our in-person location in Portland, Maine and our livestream link.

Why membership, not admission?

For thousands of years, temples were sustained by the communities they served — priestesses devoted themselves to ritual, healing, and teaching, and the community supported that work in return. We've built our membership model in that same spirit of sacred reciprocity, not as a fee, but as your part in keeping the temple doors open.

Your support makes possible:

  • Weekly worship services and sacred gatherings

  • Livestreams for members joining from afar

  • Children's programming and family ministry

  • Care for our worship space and ministry

  • Training and support for ministers and volunteers

  • The restoration of Sacred Feminine spirituality for future generations

Every membership level helps keep the temple open. Thank you for being part of this: we are remembering and awakening together.

FAQs

How is Goddess Church funded?

Goddess Church is supported through donations and recurring membership.

We are in the process of becoming a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and every contribution helps make our gatherings, livestreams, community programs, and future offerings possible.

Will there be a Mystery School or facilitator training?

It's a possibility we feel excited about.

While our current focus is establishing weekly and monthly gatherings, we can envision developing a Mystery School and facilitator training in the future.

Our long-term hope is to create a pathway for those who feel called to lead sacred feminine circles or eventually steward local Goddess Church communities in partnership with the ministry.

For now, we're taking one beautiful step at a time.

How do I join?

To join our services, we ask first that you become a member.

Membership is available through a recurring donation, with multiple giving levels so people can participate according to their means.

Once you become a member, you'll receive:

  • The address for our in-person gatherings

  • Access to our private livestream

  • Additional offerings based on your membership level

Creating a sacred space also means creating a safe space.

This process helps us care for our community, protects the privacy of those attending, and allows everyone to gather with greater ease and trust.

Is Goddess Church inclusive of transgender, non-binary people, and men?

Yes.

Anyone who comes in a spirit of reverence and respect is welcome!

While our ceremonies center the Divine Feminine and explore feminine spirituality, we understand the feminine as a sacred spiritual principle that can be honored and experienced by people of every gender identity.

We joyfully welcome women, transgender people, non-binary people, men, and anyone seeking a deeper relationship with the Sacred Feminine.

Are children welcome?

Yes. Children are warmly welcome at Goddess Church.

Our sanctuary includes a dedicated play area where little ones can engage while remaining part of the sacred space. We do not provide childcare, so parents and caregivers remain responsible for their children throughout the service.

On the third Saturday of each month, we offer a special Family Circle featuring Waldorf-inspired songs, stories, movement, and seasonal rituals that help children engage with the month's sacred theme in an age-appropriate way.

Will there be chapters in other cities?

We certainly hope so.

Many people have already asked about bringing Goddess Church to their own communities, which tells us just how deeply this kind of gathering is needed.

Right now we're focused on lovingly establishing our first community. As the ministry grows, we envision possibilities such as regional gatherings, retreats, and eventually local chapters led by trained facilitators.

If you'd love to see a Goddess Church in your area, start gathering your community, and watch the livestream together while we continue growing.

Do I have to be Christian? Can witches, pagans, or people from other faiths attend?

Goddess Church is an interfaith ministry devoted to honoring the Divine Feminine. People of all religious, spiritual, and cultural backgrounds are welcome.

Whether you identify as Christian, Jewish, Pagan, Buddhist, Muslim, spiritual-but-not-religious, a practicing witch, or are simply curious, you are invited to participate with respect for yourself, others, and the sacred.

Rather than asking everyone to believe the same thing, we gather around shared values of:

  • Reverence for life

  • Love and compassion

  • Respect for one another

  • Care for the Earth

  • Curiosity and openness to wisdom from many traditions

Our sermons draw primarily from comparative mythology, archetypal psychology, folklore, fairy tales, goddess traditions, and sacred stories from around the world. We also welcome guest teachers whose expertise brings additional richness and diverse perspectives.

Can I volunteer?

Yes! We'd love your help.

We're building both an in-person and online volunteer team. Whether you're interested in hospitality, children's activities, music, livestream production, community care, or behind-the-scenes support, we'd love to hear from you.

Once you become a member, you will have access to our volunteer network and will be able to sign up or apply for available positions!
